Organizing recipes can be a life changer because so much of our time is spent shopping for food, deciding what food we are going to prepare, preparing the food, then eating the food, etc. I try and tailor recipe organization to the client. Do they choose the meal based upon the main dish? Are they a one-stop shopper ie. Rachel Ray or Barefoot Contessa? And to get started I use this generic table of contents to begin categorizing the recipes.
This particular client didn’t have too many individual recipes, so sorting them by type was very simple. However, if a client has a large number of recipes further subdividing might be necessary. Click here for a link to my recipe binder table of contents.
