Organizing On the Go

Organizing On The Go!

Looking for an easy, inexpensive, organized approach to keeping track of your information no matter where you are?  I love using these expanding pocket folders; they are very inexpensive, can move easily from purse to briefcase to glove compartment, and can be color coordinated to task (receipt storage, coupon organization, or general file management).

{Make it Personal} The key to on-the-go organization is to keep it personal.  Knowing what areas you need to keep track of and creating places for that information will make organization easier whether in the car, at home, or in the office. If you know you have lots of coupons then categorize them by type. Or if you have multiple types of receipts, separate them by tax type instead of date, that way when tax season comes around you already have them itemized.

{Be Consistent} The best way to create and maintain an organized system is to be consistent. Use the same categories on your computer, in your filing cabinet, and when processing paperwork.  A great example is when filing taxes, a system like the one above, makes it easy to find receipts and compute expenses.

I would love to hear how you stay organized on the go!  And if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
